April is National Welding Month. According to the American Welding Society, “Since 1996, the American Welding Society has designated the month of April as National Welding Month to bring awareness to the welding industry and its available career paths.“ The US Bureau of Labor Statistics forecasts there will be approximately 47,600 openings for welders, cutters, solderers, and brazers projected each year, on average, over the next decade. With so many openings in the field, it is extremely important to protect laboreres in the welding industry. Every May, the Electrical Safety Foundation International (ESFI) observes Electrical Safety Month to promote electrical safety in the workplace and provide a variety of resources for electrical safety.
